Hacienda Palms

Larry's inevitable return to the Hacienda Palms stirs up rich, complex emotions within him. Flowering vines, palm trees, and the iconic arched doorways still decorate the premises. Larry sinks down onto a heavy, concrete bench as powerful memories wash over him. He closes his eyes and inhales the scent of fresh jasmine. The sound of cascading water from a nearby fountain reaches only the very fringes of his awareness. A velvet curtain falls across Larry's mind. The wood-paneled interior of the Regal Beagle soon replaces the blackness. Unseasonal rain is beating against the few windowpanes of the dimly lit establishment. Janet (played by Francesca Le) sits dejectedly at the bar while Krissy (played by Tanya Danielle) bounces to the beat of the music, her breasts spilling out of an astonishingly skimpy halter dress. The inclement weather has ruined their plans for the evening. Larry hovers over the women in his skintight Levis, sensing some type of opportunity. Janet's frustration with Krissy is growing in proportion to the number of drinks that the friends are imbibing. Larry tips the bartender to keep them coming and make them as strong as possible. "The Pina Colada Song" starts playing on the jukebox for the third time. Janet loses it. "Why do you keep picking the same stupid song?" she bellows at Krissy. The blonde freezes in mid-sway of her dreamy chair dance. Janet snatches her off the barstool. "You are nothing but a big-titted bimbo! You know that, right?" she snarls into Krissy's face. Using one of the aforementioned large breasts Janet steers her shocked roommate out the tavern door and into the rain. Larry follows from a safe distance. The ladies arrive at the Hacienda Palms, enter their apartment, and flick on the lights. Krissy points an accusatory finger at Janet who responds by socking her in the jaw. Nature reacts accordingly as thunder roars and lightning fills the sky. Now soaked to the bone Larry watches through a window as the two women tear into each other. Indescribable urges overtake him but he remains rooted to the spot. As the fight reaches its crescendo the downpour increases in intensity until Larry can barely remain upright. He feels himself flailing, failing, falling towards the ground. Silence descends. An undetermined amount of time later Larry pulls himself into an upright sitting position. His clothing feels dry and he hears only the soothing trickle of a controlled stream of water. When his eyes locate the fountain he realizes that his mind had transported him back to September 28, 1979, the most erotic night of his life. Those were the days.. those were the days..
